North Korean science delegation visits Moscow amid concerns of tech cooperation

DPRK officials to join talks and tour Russia’s Silicon Valley, as two sides also discuss resuming passenger rail service

A North Korean science delegation is visiting Moscow this week to hold talks with top officials and tour an area known as Russia’s Silicon Valley amid concerns that Russia is providing technical assistance to the DPRK in exchange for weapons.

The departure of the delegation from the State Commission of Science and Technology, headed by its chair Ri Chung Gil, came as local Russian and North Korean officials also met in the Far East on Monday to discuss the resumption of passenger rail service between the two countries.
