Chinese shipyard hosts cargo vessel linked to North Korea-Russia arms trade

Expert says shipyard likely violated sanctions and could face punitive actions after Russian ship Angara moored there

A Chinese shipyard that hosted a Russian vessel implicated in arms trade with North Korea is likely violating U.N. sanctions, putting it at risk of punitive actions, a sanctions expert told NK News on Friday.

The Angara, a roll-on/roll-off cargo vessel, is one of four vessels that NK Pro analysis shows is involved in an alleged weapons shipping operation between the North Korean port of Rason and Far East ports like Vostochny and the Dunay naval base.
