North Korean delegation visits Mongolia for first time in five years

Vice foreign minister held talks with Mongolian counterpart in sign of DPRK efforts to reengage international community

North Korean foreign ministry officials are visiting Mongolia for talks this week, marking the first DPRK delegation in five years to the country which has played a role in past nuclear talks.

DPRK vice foreign minister Pak Myong Ho met his Mongolian counterpart Battsetseg Batmunkh in Ulaanbaatar on Sunday amid bilateral efforts to strengthen “traditionally friendly relations,” according to the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
