North Korea sends more delegations to Russia, focusing on IT and sports

Expert says record number of exchanges in February point to preparations for Putin visit to Pyongyang later this year

A record number of North Korean delegations have visited Russia this month, with the two sides focusing on deepening sports and cyber ties while celebrating their shared anti-Western stance.

The six DPRK delegations that have traveled to Russia in February mark the highest total since Oct. 2018, the NK Pro delegation tracker shows, amid expectations that Vladimir Putin will visit Pyongyang in the coming months.
