Kim Jong Un inspects foodstuff factories linked to new development drive

Kimha county facilities apparently offer glimpse of modernization efforts leader said he wants throughout North Korea

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited multiple foodstuff and other factories on Wednesday, state media announced, as part of his “regional development 20×10 policy” aimed at reviving economically depressed parts of the country.

The Rodong Sinmun said Kim provided his signature on-the-spot guidance on “foodstuffs, daily necessities and paper” outputs in Kimhwa county, flanked by top officials Jo Yong Won, Ri Il Hwan, Pak Jong Chon and others including sister Kim Yo Jong.
