Former U.S. President Donald Trump refused to blacklist a Chinese bank that was a “well-paying tenant” at Trump Tower despite evidence that it helped North Korea evade U.S. sanctions, according to a new report by congressional Democrats.

The report released Thursday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee claims Donald Trump’s hotels and other businesses accepted more than $7.8 million from foreign governments during his presidency, violating the U.S. Constitution’s foreign emoluments clause. 

The clause prevents federal officials, including the president, from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments without permission from Congress.
