South Korea slams weapons transfers between North Korea and Russia

UN envoy decries apparent arms deals as direct violation of sanctions while Moscow representative blames ‘the West’

South Korea condemned the transfer of weapons between North Korea and Russia as a direct violation of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) sanctions at a council meeting on Monday.

Hwang Joon-kook, the country’s U.N.  ambassador, also denounced DPRK foreign minister Choe Son Hui’s recent meeting with her Russian counterpart and leader Vladimir Putin.
