Nearly 50 countries condemn Russia’s use of North Korean missiles in Ukraine

US, ROK and other signatories raise concern about proliferation, say they’re monitoring what Moscow provides in return

The U.S., South Korea and nearly 50 other countries condemned Russia for using North Korean ballistic missiles against Ukraine on Tuesday, while accusing Pyongyang of undermining the “global nonproliferation regime.”

The joint statement signed by 48 countries and the High Representative of the European Union comes after the U.S. announced last week that Russia fired DPRK missiles into Ukraine on Dec. 30 and Jan. 2, after Pyongyang “recently” supplied ballistic missile launchers and several dozen ballistic missiles to Moscow.
