Don’t visit North Korean restaurants in China, South Korean Embassy warns

Mission says DPRK businesses have ‘forcibly expelled’ ROK nationals, cites risk of ‘friction’ as tensions worsen

The South Korean Embassy in Beijing has warned ROK nationals not to visit North Korean restaurants in China, citing the potential for conflict with staff.

In a statement released last Friday, the embassy’s consular department explained that DPRK-run restaurants do not allow South Koreans to visit and have “forcibly expelled them from the premises upon identification.”
