North Korea fired one suspected short-range ballistic missile toward the East Sea (Sea of Japan) on Sunday night, South Korea’s military announced.

Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the launch from Pyongyang around 10:38 p.m. KST and is sharing information on the missile with the U.S. and Japan. 

The missile flew some 350 miles (570 km) before landing in the East Sea, JCS said. The military added that it is continuing to analyze the projectile.
