Air Koryo shuttling North Koreans from Vladivostok on twice weekly flights

Expert says Russian city may be ‘collection point’ for returning citizens as large numbers reportedly spotted at airport

North Korea’s state-run Air Koryo conducted two flights to Vladivostok in recent days, with a Russian media report suggesting that DPRK laborers are flocking to the airport before flying back to Pyongyang.

Neither of the flights appeared on aviation-tracking services but did show up on Vladivostok International Airport’s timetable, which shows that the airline is scheduled to conduct regular flights between the two cities on Mondays and Fridays until at least March.
