North Korea-China trade slumps in October but remains far above pandemic lows

Chinese data shows slight decline in exports and imports, while Russia-DPRK trade reportedly sits at just $28M for year

North Korea’s trade with China slid down in October after reaching nearly a four-year high the previous month, though overall exchange between the two neighbors has still recovered dramatically from pandemic lows.

The DPRK’s trade with its largest commercial partner slumped by 11.1% to $192.4 million last month, down from $216.5 million in September, according to official data from China’s General Administration of Customs.
