Russia eyes North Korea’s participation in Moscow-led organizations: Official

Expert says Russia may try to create a separate international forum to unite major pariah states ‘with nothing to lose’

North Korea’s potential participation in Russia-led international organizations is a way to “stabilize” the situation on the Korean Peninsula, which has been “complicated by military preparations by the U.S. and its allies,” a high-level Moscow official said.

"In the future, [we] could think about the DPRK's participation in various international and regional mechanisms and associations with the leading role of Russia and friendly countries,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said in an interview with the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda on Wednesday.
