North Korean athletes to skip Asian Para Games over anti-doping ruling

Organizers say DPRK made decision after being told athletes could not compete under their flag

North Korea will not send athletes to the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou next week after being told that it could not fly its flag at the competition due to noncompliance with anti-doping regulations, according to the event’s organizers.

The decision comes after North Korean athletes competed under their flag at the recent Asian Games, which concluded earlier this month.
