Foreign ministry demands Moscow uphold UN sanctions and halt cooperation, after Kim Jong Un’s trip to Russian Far East

South Korea’s foreign ministry summoned Russia’s ambassador to demand that Moscow halt military cooperation with North Korea on Tuesday, following Kim Jong Un’s high-profile trip to the Russian Far East.

ROK deputy foreign minister Jang Ho-jin delivered Seoul’s position to Russian Ambassador Andrei Kulik, strongly urging that “Russia immediately stop military cooperation with North Korea and comply with U.N. Security Council (UNSC) resolutions,” the foreign ministry said in a statement.
