UN Command says North Korea ‘responded’ about US soldier Travis King

It remains unclear if DPRK has sent substantive response, as UNC and US offer scant and sometimes conflicting details

The North Korean military has “responded” to the U.N. Command (UNC) about Travis King, the U.S. soldier who sprinted across the border into the DPRK last month, a spokesperson told NK News on Thursday.

But the UNC did not specify whether the response just acknowledged receipt of previous requests for information or whether it offered substantive information about King, as the UNC and U.S. continue to provide scant and sometimes conflicting details about communications with the North Korean side.
