ROK prosecutors indict 8 people for attempting to smuggle fuel to North Korea

Operator of South Korean oil trading company and accomplices allegedly sought to deliver some 2K tons of diesel

South Korean prosecutors have indicted eight individuals, including the operator of an ROK oil trading company, for allegedly attempting to smuggle nearly 2,000 tons of fuel to North Korea last year.

The Jeonju district prosecutor’s office announced the charges in a press release on Tuesday, accusing the individuals of violating ROK law governing inter-Korean exchange and cooperation.
