North Korean passenger jet makes first trip to China since start of pandemic

Air Koryo plane lands in Beijing on Tuesday morning, amid reports that overseas North Koreans will return home

A passenger aircraft operated by North Korean flag carrier Air Koryo flew to China on Tuesday morning, flight-tracking data shows, in what appears to be the first international flight by the commercial airline since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the aviation tracking website FlightRadar24, an Air Koryo Tu-204 plane departed Pyongyang International Airport on Tuesday morning and entered China’s airspace.
