North Korea’s foreign minister on Tuesday condemned the U.S. decision to supply cluster munitions to Ukraine, accusing Washington of harming the “lives of peaceful citizens” in order to further its ambitions.

The criticism comes after President Joe Biden announced the decision to arm Kyiv with the controversial weapons on Friday, framing it as a temporary measure to hold over Ukrainian forces running out of ammunition.
