North Korea has not responded to inquiries about the American soldier who crossed into the DPRK earlier this week, U.S. officials said on Thursday, expressing concern about the possibility of his mistreatment in the country.

U.S. Army Private Travis King dashed across the Military Demarcation Line into North Korea during a tour of the Joint Security Area (JSA) on Tuesday, and his exact whereabouts remain unknown.
