UN aviation agency condemns North Korean missile tests as threat to air traffic

ICAO urges DPRK to comply with regulations, which require states to provide advance notice of launches

The U.N. aviation authority has denounced North Korean missile launches as “a serious risk” to international air traffic, days after Pyongyang fired ballistic missiles for the first time in months.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) unanimously adopted a resolution condemning “recent missile launches by the DPRK” on Monday, according to a statement published by South Korea’s foreign ministry on Thursday.
