Republican presidential candidates are attacking frontrunner Donald Trump over his affinity for Kim Jong Un, highlighting a major faultline in the party over U.S. policy toward the DPRK.

Following North Korea’s recent election to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) executive board, Trump on Friday congratulated Kim personally in a post on Truth Social, the former president’s social media platform.
