Russia says it exported 1,300 tons of wheat flour to North Korea in May

Moscow has released regular updates on grain shipments this year, despite formerly suspending publication of trade data

Russia sent over a thousand tons of wheat flour to North Korea in May, according to the Russian government, the latest in a series of publicized grain shipments since earlier this year.

In a press release uploaded last Tuesday, Russia’s federal veterinary customs agency stated that the Siberian region of Kuzbass exported 1,276 tons of wheat flour to the DPRK out of a total of 17,970 tons of grain sent to eight Asian and Eastern European countries.
