South Korea’s intelligence agency has warned that North Korean hackers are impersonating a leading internet portal in the latest phishing campaign targeting South Koreans. 

The National Intelligence Service (NIS) stated in a press release on Wednesday that it detected a DPRK phishing site masquerading as the South Korean portal Naver, advising the public to exercise caution when accessing unfamiliar addresses.

“North Korea’s hacking attack methods against our people are becoming more sophisticated, so we ask the people to pay more attention,” the agency urged.
