Russia sent over 1K tons of wheat flour to North Korea, state agency says

April shipment is latest in series of grain exports to DPRK in recent months, as Pyongyang stresses food production

Russia sent over a thousand tons of wheat flour to North Korea in April, according to the Russian government, the latest in a series of publicized grain shipments since earlier this year.

In a press release, Russia’s federal veterinary customs agency said on Friday that the Siberian region of Kuzbass exported 1,280 tons of wheat flour to the DPRK out of a total of 19,918 tons of grain products sent to seven Asian and eastern European countries.
