Russian governor asks Putin to invest in North Korea border infrastructure

Primorsky Krai leader touts proximity to DPRK but bemoans road and rail facilities, as countries seek to boost ties

The governor of the Russian region bordering North Korea has called on Vladimir Putin to increase economic investment in the area, touting its proximity to the DPRK.

Oleg Kozhemyako, governor of Primorsky Krai in the Russian Far East, made the request during a one-on-one meeting with the Russian leader in Moscow, according to a Kremlin press release on Monday.
