North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) expansion will end in destruction and disaster, North Korean state media said Friday, slamming the alliance for its attempts to “dominate the world.”

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) published the critical statement under the name Kim Yu Chol, an international affairs analyst in Pyongyang, days after Finland became the 31st country to join the organization.

“As illustrated by the present Ukrainian situation, any country NATO’s tentacles reach is surely torn by armed conflicts and war that cause bloodshed,” Kim stated.
