In new book, Mike Pompeo talks tough about ‘bloodthirsty toad’ Kim Jong Un

Former secretary of state stresses hardline approach as potential presidential candidates stake out positions on DPRK

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stresses the tough measures the Trump administration took toward North Korea in a new book, while brushing past how close the two countries came to war and the friendly relationship between a U.S. president and the North Korean dictator.

Pompeo’s book “Never Give an Inch” is the latest volume by a former Trump official, following the release of “So Help Me God” by former Vice President Mike Pence in November. And like Pence, the former chief diplomat credits Donald Trump’s threats with keeping Kim Jong Un in line.
