U.N. humanitarian funding for North Korea nosedived to just US$1.7 million in 2022, a nearly 90% on-year drop that continues a rapid decline during the pandemic, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) records show.
According to OCHA’s Financial Tracking Service, the record-low commitment by U.N. member states marks a whopping 98.5% decline from the $118 million donated 10 years ago.
