North Korean trade with China dropped nearly 20% last month, customs data shows, after reaching an almost three-year high in October.

China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) shows that bilateral trade totaled $125.7 million in November, mostly on the back of medicine and food imports from China.

A 45% decline in North Korean exports to China is largely responsible for the dip from $153.9 million in October. In November, the DPRK exported just $11.8 million worth of goods to its largest trading partner, down from $21.4 million in October.
