Moon slams investigation into 2020 death of ROK citizen as partisan witch hunt

Prosecutors seek arrest of Moon Jae-in’s former officials over alleged mishandling of DPRK shooting death of Lee Dae-jun

Former South Korean president Moon Jae-in condemned the ongoing investigation into the death of a fisheries official in North Korean waters as prosecutors zero in on Moon’s former national security chief and defense minister over how they handled the case in late 2020.

It is the first time Moon has commented publicly on the death of Lee Dae-jun since prosecutors opened an investigation into whether the Moon administration covered up or obfuscated the circumstances of Lee’s death at the hands of North Korean soldiers.
