Former president Moon slams arrest of Suh Hoon, calls former National Security Advisor asset to inter-Korean relations

A high-ranking presidential official from the former Moon Jae-in administration was arrested amid an ongoing investigation into the government’s handling of the 2020 shooting death of a South Korean citizen at the hands of North Korean soldiers.

The arrest of former National Security Advisor Suh Hoon comes as prosecutors probe allegations he helped cover up or obfusticate the initial investigation into the death of 47-year-old Lee Dae-jun.
