Christopher Ahn, the former U.S. Marine who raided the North Korean Embassy in Spain in 2019, has asked a federal judge to block his extradition to Madrid, new court filings show. 

The request further delays Ahn’s lengthy trial, two months after a magistrate judge in California certified his extradition. 

According to court records seen by NK News, Ahn’s lawyers asked the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California late last week to consider stopping his extradition. They accused the U.S. government of treating Ahn as a “sacrificial lamb” for the nation’s foreign policy interests despite “undisputed evidence”
