US warns of ‘consequences’ for North Korea after tactical guided missile test

State Department reiterates US remains open to dialogue but says DPRK has prioritized nuclear and missile programs

The U.S. State Department has warned that North Korea will face “consequences” if it continues to conduct “provocations,” following the DPRK’s test of what it called a tactical guided missile over the weekend.

In a press briefing on Monday (U.S. time), department spokesperson Ned Price condemned Pyongyang’s “recent provocations,” including its latest test of what he called a “long-range artillery system,” while stating that North Korea has given no indication of being open to dialogue.
