North Korea warns of ‘extermination’ if South Korean army attacks Pyongyang

Warning from Kim Yo Jong comes after South Korean official describes strike capabilities against DPRK missile launches

The South Korean army will face “extermination” if it “adopts military confrontation” against North Korea, warned Kim Yo Jong on Tuesday, as Pyongyang continues to bristle at comments made by Seoul’s defense minister describing preemptive strike capabilities against the North.

The high-ranking sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un issued the statement on the second page of the state-run Rodong Sinmun, her second written remarks in 48 hours following nearly six months of silence.
