US, ROK, Japanese diplomats to convene meeting on North Korean nuclear threats

Washington recently said it will take steps to reassure allies following record-setting month of DPRK missile tests

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken will head to Hawaii this month to discuss North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats with his South Korean and Japanese counterparts, the U.S. State Department announced on Friday.

The trip follows over a half-dozen missile tests by North Korea since the start of the year, including the North's first intermediate-range ballistic missile launch since 2017.
