Russia has finished interrogating 14 North Korean fishermen accused of attacking Russian border guards in 2019 and will hold them for an additional three months, a regional court said on Thursday.

“In Aug. 2020, a criminal case against 14 North Korean citizens accused of attacking Russian border guards was brought to the Primorsky Regional Court,” a statement from the court says.

“At present, all the defendants have been interrogated by the court. On Feb. 8, 2022, the court decided to hold the defendants in custody until May 19, 2022.”
