Seoul raises hope for peace through forestry cooperation with Pyongyang

Moon Jae-in urges inter-Korean action on climate change, after making similar appeal at Glasgow climate conference

South Korean President Moon Jae-in urged North Korea to participate in international efforts to address climate change, framing forestry initiatives in particular as a pathway to greater inter-Korean ties.

Moon delivered the remarks at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) CEO Summit on Thursday, a little more than a week after making a similar pitch at the U.N. climate conference in Glasgow.
