North Korean ambassador to UK attends UN climate conference in Glasgow

Choe Il was present at COP26 for South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s speech on inter-Korean forestry cooperation

North Korean Ambassador to the U.K. Choe Il joined the 26th U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP26) on Monday in Glasgow, Scotland, one of the first international conferences a DPRK delegation has attended in person in nearly two years.

Choe reportedly sat through South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s address at the conference, in which Moon pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on the Korean Peninsula through forestry cooperation with North Korea.
