North Korean Ambassador to the U.K. Choe Il joined the 26th U.N. Climate Change Conference (COP26) on Monday in Glasgow, Scotland, one of the first international conferences a DPRK delegation has attended in person in nearly two years.

Choe reportedly sat through South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s address at the conference, in which Moon pledged to reduce greenhouse gas emissions on the Korean Peninsula through forestry cooperation with North Korea.

Video taken at the conference confirmed Choe’s presence at the annual event, after NK News previously reportedthat North Korean diplomats based in London, including Choe, were scheduled to attend
