South Korean President Moon Jae-in said his pitch to formally end the Korean War is based on “trust and pride” in South Korea’s military, as he marked the country’s Armed Forces Day on Friday.
During his speech, Moon also applauded South Korea’s new weapons systems, such as submarines equipped with submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) and other cutting-edge military technology under development. Moon personally observed the ROK’s underwater test of an SLBM in September.
