South Korea’s top nuclear envoy is set to visit Russia this week to discuss the peace process on the Korean Peninsula, according to Seoul’s foreign ministry.

In a statement, the ministry said that Noh Kyu-duk is set to meet with Moscow’s vice foreign minister for Asia-Pacific affairs Igor Morgulov and discuss denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. 

“Through this consultation, the two countries are expected to discuss in-depth various cooperation measures for stable management of the situation on the Korean peninsula and the early resumption of the peace process,” the ministry said.
