DPRK foreign ministry slams US diplomats for alleged theft in Moscow

North Korean criticism may be an attempt to deflect from its own diplomats’ sketchy behavior abroad, expert says

North Korea’s foreign ministry took aim at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow on Wednesday after three embassy staffers allegedly stole the belongings of a Russian citizen.

In a statement titled “Hobbies of American ‘Gentlemen,’” the ministry said the U.S. should “better control its diplomats who are disgracing themselves by committing all sorts of crimes and misdeeds in other countries, rather than attempting to admonish other countries and impose its value and will on them.”
