North Korea’s newest hypersonic missile does not pose a threat to the U.S. homeland, according to the Pentagon.

The assessment was delivered at a press briefing on Thursday by Pentagon Press Secretary John F. Kirby and commander of U.S. Northern Command, Gen. Glen VanHerck.

“I understand the intelligence community is still making an assessment of the — the North Korean claim to have tested a hypersonic.
