US homeland ‘safe and secure’ from new North Korean missile, says Pentagon

Assessment delivered after North Korea tests its first-ever hypersonic missile and other new weapons tech in September

North Korea’s newest hypersonic missile does not pose a threat to the U.S. homeland, according to the Pentagon.

The assessment was delivered at a press briefing on Thursday by Pentagon Press Secretary John F. Kirby and commander of U.S. Northern Command, Gen. Glen VanHerck.
