Seoul seeks to improve inter-Korean relations through 2022 Olympics: Blue House

Chinese foreign minister voices support to ROK president, though it’s unclear if DPRK can attend the Winter Games

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said he hopes the upcoming 2022 Beijing Olympics will be a chance to improve relations with North Korea, according to a Blue House spokesperson on Wednesday.

Moon’s remark came during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who visited Seoul for talks. Wang’s visit to South Korea is his first in about a year and comes as he has recently made a series of visits across Asia. South Korea’s foreign minister Chung Eui-yong met with Wang in the Chinese city of Xiamen this past April
