News North Korea calls Human Rights Watch a ‘puppet’ of the USThe nongovernmental organization has long documented human rights abuses inside the DPRK
North Korea slammed the nonprofit Human Rights Watch (HRW) on Sunday, calling the organization a “mouthpiece and puppet” of the U.S. over its reaction to alleged human rights violations in Afghanistan. North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) shared a statement by a senior researcher at an entity called the Association for Human Rights Studies, accusing HRW of duplicitousness for its “silence” about American conduct in Afghanistan. “If ‘Human Rights Watch’ is so much concerned about human rights, it is well advised to offer, before slandering someone else, a rational explanation for its silence with regard to the massacre © Korea Risk Group.
