A North Korean “international affairs analyst” slammed the U.S. on Friday for labeling its recent missile tests as threats but not those of South Korea, accusing Washington of a “double-dealing attitude.”

In a commentary published by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Myong Chol defended the country’s “recent activities” as consistent with its right to self-defense, while blaming Washington’s “hostile policy toward the DPRK” for the continuing deadlock in denuclearization negotiations.

“Over the coincidental launches made on the Korean peninsula on September 15, the U.S. called ‘north Korea’s act a threat to the U.S. and the international community,’ while keeping
