North Korea blames US anti-DPRK rhetoric for preventing return to dialogue

State media commentary accuses US of ‘double-dealing’ for criticizing its missile test but not South Korea’s

A North Korean “international affairs analyst” slammed the U.S. on Friday for labeling its recent missile tests as threats but not those of South Korea, accusing Washington of a “double-dealing attitude.”

In a commentary published by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Myong Chol defended the country's “recent activities” as consistent with its right to self-defense, while blaming Washington’s “hostile policy toward the DPRK” for the continuing deadlock in denuclearization negotiations.
