Seoul police have dropped a criminal complaint against prominent author and North Korean defector Jang Jin-sung, citing a lack of evidence, NK News has confirmed.
Jang was accused of rape by another defector, Seung Sol-hyang, earlier this year. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency decided not to send the case to the prosecutor’s office, confirming to NK News on Thursday that Jang is “cleared of suspicion."
