The United States’ top North Korea envoy visited Seoul this past weekend, meeting with his South Korean counterpart to discuss ongoing U.S.-ROK military drills and humanitarian assistance to the DPRK.

Seoul’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said that Sung Kim and South Korea’s Noh Kyu-duk met on Monday and pledged to keep a close eye on inter-Korean developments while the exercises continue.

“The U.S. and South Korea will keep an eye on the situation, such as the inter-Korean communication line restoration and the ongoing joint drills, while managing the situation on the Korean Peninsula and making efforts to resume dialogue
