North Korea has not responded to calls from South Korea via recently reconnected inter-Korean hotlines for a second straight day, according to Seoul’s unification and defense ministries on Wednesday morning.

The unification ministry confirmed to NK News that the North has not responded to a regularly scheduled phone call via the inter-Korean liaison office channel hotline. The defense ministry, which is in charge of the west and east sea hotlines, also said it had not received a response from the North as of this morning.
